1. Acceptance
By using Return Policy you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Return Policy does
Return Policy is a tool that calculates return deadlines based on purchase dates and retailer return policies. Return policy data is maintained manually and may not reflect the most current retailer terms. Always verify return deadlines directly with the retailer before acting on any calculation.
3. Free tier
All users get access to the following at no cost:
- Up to 5 saved history entries
- Up to 2 active reminders
- Return date calculations for 100+ retailers
Receipt and screenshot scanning is not included on the free plan (0 scans). Scanning requires an active 90-Day Pass or scan credits from a Credit Bundle.
No account is required to use the calculator. An account is required to save history and set reminders.
4. Paid products
Return Policy offers two one-time purchase options. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
90-Day Pass — $4.99
A one-time payment that unlocks full access to all features for 90 days from the date of purchase, including:
- Unlimited history saves
- Unlimited receipt and screenshot scans
- Unlimited reminders
- All features added during the pass period
Credit Bundle — $1.99
A one-time payment that adds the following credits to your account with no expiry date:
- 10 receipt and screenshot scans
- 10 additional history saves (used after your 5 free saves are exhausted)
- 5 reminder slots
Credits stack — purchasing multiple bundles adds credits on top of your existing balance. Credits do not expire and are not affected by the 90-Day Pass.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. All purchases are one-time charges. There are no subscriptions, no automatic renewals, and no recurring charges of any kind. You will only be charged when you intentionally complete a purchase.
6. Refunds
See our Refund Policy in section 7 below.
7. Refund policy
90-Day Pass:
Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied. After 7 days the pass is non-refundable. If your pass has not yet been activated (no features used), contact us within 30 days for a courtesy review.
Credit Bundle:
Full refund within 48 hours of purchase if no credits have been used. Once any credits from a bundle have been used (any scan, history save, or reminder slot consumed), that bundle is non-refundable.
How to request a refund:
Email support.returnpolicy@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the email address associated with your account and the date of purchase. We will process eligible refunds within 5 business days.
Chargebacks:
If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first your account will be suspended pending resolution. Please contact us directly — we are happy to resolve issues quickly.
8. Credit expiry and account deletion
Credits in your account (scan credits, history credits, reminder credits) do not expire as long as your account remains active. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
If you delete your account all unused credits are permanently forfeited. We do not refund unused credits upon account deletion unless the deletion occurs within the refund window described in section 7.
9. Pass expiry
The 90-Day Pass expires exactly 90 days after purchase. After expiry your account returns to free tier limits. Any credits from previously purchased bundles remain in your account and are unaffected by pass expiry.
10. Receipt and screenshot scanning
The free plan does not include scanning. The scanning feature uses your device camera or photo library and Google Cloud Vision to extract store name and purchase date. By using this feature you consent to your image being processed as described in our Privacy Policy. Scanning consumes one scan credit per successful scan (pass holders have unlimited scans during the pass period). Failed scans due to technical errors do not consume credits.
11. Accuracy
Return Policy provides return deadline estimates only. We do not guarantee accuracy. Retailer policies change without notice. Return Policy is not responsible for missed return windows or any losses arising from use of this tool.
12. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account or use another person's account. Purchased credits and passes are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app. Deleting your account permanently removes all saved data including receipt images and unused credits.
14. Limitation of liability
Return Policy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Return Policy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
15. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Return Policy after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Conneticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
